Fade To Dust 03:45
Your old man left this land but he gave everything that you need so go on and stay strong cause you've everything that you need the truth is cold and sometimes you didn't want to see he couldn't love so it was better to burn out than fade to dust though right or wrong he raised you proud and free and through the years it all got clear you are who he couldn't be the truth is cold and sometimes you didn't want to see he couldn't love so it was better to burn out than fade to dust better to burn out then fade to dust It will forever rain.....

Till I Die 03:44
This Kentucky dirt wont seem to wash off his hands. Blood, sweat, and tears of this broken man Dusty chords and old keys are the vows that remind That our love will keep us alive Our love will keep us alive Even when the lights go out I'll stick around Even when the waters off I wont leave this town Even when my hearts been broken I'll be by your side I am your woman until I die Sitting on the porch, trying to make this alright The monies long gone though its always a fight The swing as my witness and the rain by my side Our love will keep us alive (2x) Even when the lights go out I'll stick around Even when the waters off I wont leave this town Even when my hearts been broken I'll be by your side I am your woman until I die We've been down this road before So wipe those tears from your eyes Just give me a little faith I vow to stay by your side Even when the lights go out I'll stick around Even when the waters off I wont leave this town Even when my hearts been broken I'll be by your side I am your woman until I die

Take Rest 04:01
People go around talking everyday saying this is it...there's no other way said they've heard it all before but only feel ignored there's no hope in wanting more and so you let the hopelessness settle in but they say the most dangerous human is the one with nothing left now let this thought give you rest till you find what you came for why do you think there must be more why do you think there's more in store then what you can see its all about pain and sweat and paying bills and making love to the one that said I do but now makes you ill till you find what you came for why do you think there must be more why do you think there's more in store then what you can see truth is dreams don't come true nobody prints your name till your dead and blue he said baby baby don't you worry don't you cry Dylan was wrong time ain't on my side People go around talking everyday saying this is it...there's no other way said they've heard it all before but only feel ignored there's no hope in wanting more

Malibu 02:26
Driving south I moved away Calling home now LA The promise land is down the Malibu highway Sweet summer sun all year long Dries those tears from Mt. Rainer. I got what I needed you left me behind I learned I must earn there are no free rides I had forgot who I wanted to be It hurts to set you free I couldn't stand on the side anymore selling a dream that you worked so hard for I bought my first car and I drove it away...headed south to LA You can't change the climate You can accept or deny it Either way the rain or shine wont change Our truth is silent You can't bottle or buy it No matter where I go it comes along I got what I needed you left me behind I learned I must earn there are no free rides I had forgot who I wanted to be It hurts to set you free I couldn't stand on the side anymore selling a dream that you worked so hard for I bought my first car and I drove it away...headed south to LA

Teach your children to return home before the sun comes up so in the morn' they can set the tables and let out the dogs sitting hand and hand grateful to God That we are safe and sound and each heart still pounds hold your lovers when they weep rubbing their backs till they sleep lay with them till their last breath when two souls find each other their spirits can rest (2x) Cause they are safe and sound and each heart still pounds for whats righteous and true we protect what is ours though its not easy we forget our scars cause we are safe and sound safe and sound and each heart still pounds for what's righteous and true we protect what is ours though its not easy we forget our scars cause we are safe and sound
